Soviet President Mikhail S. Gorbachev will visit Cuba from April 2-5, the Foreign Ministry confirmed in Moscow. The ministry also confirmed that Gorbachev will visit Britain on his way home from Cuba, stopping there April 5-7. It will be the Soviet president’s first visit to Havana but his third to London. He was originally due to visit both capitals in December on his way home from New York after addressing the U.N. General Assembly. His trip, however, was cut short by the devastating earthquake in Soviet Armenia.
