Her Cookies Rate Rave Reviews From the Neighborhood
“I am really into baking,” writes Vanessa Willette. “Once when I was baking, I decided to try something different. Everybody just loves them. I have many neighbors who have me bake these cookies for them when they are expecting company.”
PEANUT BUTTER-CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 cup butter or margarine
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
Cream together butter, granulated and brown sugars, eggs and vanilla. Stir in peanut butter. In separate bowl sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Stir flour mixture into creamed mixture. Add chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand on sheets to cook before removing. Makes 7 to 8 dozen cookies.
