Local News in Brief : 3 Hold Up Armored Car but Drop Cash
Three men held up an armored car Monday in South-Central Los Angeles but dropped the money when they fled, police said. Two of the men, who were not identified, were arrested following a chase and police were searching for the third suspect.
The foiled robbery occurred at 10:28 a.m. when the Federal Armored Express van parked at a Boys market on Crenshaw Boulevard. Gunfire was reported, but police said they could not confirm whether it was the guard or the robbers who fired.
No injuries were reported.
