NMB Technologies in Chatsworth appointed Jay Batten as vice president for engineering at the company’s motor division, which builds motors for disk drives and other computer peripheral equipment. Batten previously was chief engineer at Buehler Products, Berger-Lahr and Warner Electric.

NMB is a unit of Japan’s Minebea Co. Ltd., a leading maker of ball bearings, semiconductors, keyboards, audio speakers and other electronic products.
