Jaquez Resigns Rio Mesa Basketball Post

Zeke Jaquez has resigned as the Rio Mesa girls’ basketball coach after two seasons.

Jaquez, who teaches at Channel Islands High, has also given up his duties as the Raiders’ softball coach. He was replaced by Janet Wong.

Jaquez coached both teams last season.

“There was some overlap last season and I was running back and forth too much between the two schools,” Jaquez said. “Next year, I want to take it easy and watch my girls play.”
