70 Drug Traffickers to Hang Today, Iran Says

NICOSIA, Cyprus — Iran said Monday that it will hang 70 drug traffickers today, the largest number executed in a single day since it launched a new anti-narcotics campaign last month.
Ten of the traffickers, described as having long records in drug smuggling and distribution, will be hanged in Tehran and the rest in 25 other cities, the official Iranian news agency IRNA said.
