NATION : Snow and Rain Snarl Midwest, East
Snow and freezing rain clogged highways and disrupted air and ground travel in the Midwest and the East today while heavy rains stretched from Kentucky and Tennessee to Oklahoma and Texas.

American said it canceled between 70 and 75 flights into and out of O’Hare in the morning, about half the normal load. United Airlines, O’Hare’s busiest carrier, also reported delays but had no cancellations.
