Lumber production, orders and shipments decreased as the record-breaking cold wave engulfed 12 Western states last week, a trade association reported. The Western Wood Products Assn. reported lumber production of 307 million board feet, down 76 million feet from the previous week. The association reported orders for 342 million board feet, down 37 million feet from the previous week.
