Chapman’s Bowman Interested in Titan Fund-Raising Job

Chapman College Athletic Director Walt Bowman said Friday that he has been approached by Cal State Fullerton officials about heading up the Titan Athletic Foundation. Bowman said he had an interest in the position.

The foundation is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for Fullerton athletics. John Rebenstorf is interim director of the foundation.

Bowman attended a Fullerton booster organization reception before the Titans’ game against Nevada Las Vegas on Thursday.

“They sought permission from (Chapman acting) President Jim Doti to talk to me about the the position,� Bowman said. “(Fullerton Athletic Director) Ed Carroll contacted me and we had a mutual friendly discussion.�
