Quake Near Indonesia

HONG KONG — A strong earthquake was recorded Friday night in the Molucca Sea off Indonesia, the Royal Hong Kong Observatory reported.
The magnitude of the quake was 6.9 and was centered 870 miles southeast of Manila, the Philippine capital, the observatory said in a statement.
