The Lazers, whose play has improved noticeably since rookie goalkeeper Kris Peat was activated, will play host to the Kansas City Comets tonight at 7:30 at the Forum.
Peat, the Lazers’ first-round draft choice from North Carolina State, is 3-0 since playing in his first Major Indoor Soccer League game earlier this month. The Lazers, after a series of losing streaks, have won 3 of their last 4 games.
Since earning his first victory after relieving starter Jim Gorsek in the fourth quarter of a 6-5 victory over the San Diego Sockers Jan. 5, Peat won his first 2 starts against the first-place Baltimore Blast and the Wichita Wings.
The Lazers (9-11) have split 2 games this season against the last-place Comets (6-13).
