Three Andean condors seem to be getting along well in the Sespe Condor Sanctuary, where they were released Dec. 17 to test methods for returning endangered California condors to the wild, a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service biologist reported. Teresa Nichols said two of the birds have been taking short flights and the third is still trying out her wings. The three were taken as chicks to a holding pen in the Ventura County mountains.
