IN BRIEF : U.S. Hockey Team Ties Finland

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Jeremy Roenick scored with 15 seconds remaining in the third period Monday night to give the United States a 5-5 tie with Finland in the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.
Roenick’s goal, his third of the game, came after U.S. coach Steve Cedorchuk replaced goalie Mark Richards with an extra attacker.
The U.S. faces the Soviet Union today. The Soviets routed West Germany 15-0 on Monday. In other games Monday, Canada defeated Norway 7-1 and Sweden beat Czechoslovakia 5-3.
