HOLIDAY CLOSINGS

MAIL: All post offices will be closed today and Jan. 2, and no mail will be delivered.
BANKS: Most banks and savings and loans will close today and Jan. 2.
SCHOOLS: Most of Orange County’s public elementary, junior high and high schools will be closed until Jan. 3, with the following exceptions: Fullerton and La Habra elementary schools and Fullerton High School will reopen Jan. 4; the Newport-Mesa Unified School District will be closed today through Jan. 9.
TRASH: Garbage will not be collected today or Jan. 2. In the week after Christmas and New Year’s, trash pickup will be delayed one day. In Fullerton, residents are asked to put out their trash on the regular day in the event that collectors catch up.
GOVERNMENT: All county, state and federal offices will be closed today and Jan. 2, as will most city offices. Fullerton city offices will be closed today through Jan. 2.
