A 76-year-old woman was struck by a bullet that pierced the door of her Logan Heights apartment while she was vacuuming Sunday evening, police said.
Inez Marmon was in fair condition at UC San Diego Medical Center with a bullet wound in her right shoulder, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Marmon told police she was vacuuming the living room of her second-story apartment in the 2000 block of Ocean View Boulevard about 6:45 p.m. when two bullets penetrated her front door, one of which struck her. Edwards said there was no known suspect or motive in the shooting.
