Costain Homes Inc. of Newport Beach plans to spend $41 million in “an aggressive land acquisition program in Southern California over the next 12 months,” said David B. Jackson, the firm’s vice president of forward planning and land acquistion.
“We’re primarily focused on Orange and Riverside counties,” he said. “But we are currently looking at projects in San Bernardino, San Diego and Los Angeles counties as well.”
Jackson said that Costain, which opened its local operation in early 1987, currently has a total of 5,356 units sold, under construction or in the planning phase. The firm is a wholly owned subsidiary of British-based Costain Group PLC.
