Loral Corp., a defense electronics company, has been awarded an Air Force contract that one analyst for Smith Barney, Harris & Upham said could lead to as much as $2 billion in revenue over the next decade. Under an initial $20.4-million contract, New York-based Loral will produce 19 units of an advanced radar warning receiver for the F-16 jet fighter’s electronic combat program. The units will be made at facilities in California, New York and Georgia, the company said.
