THE PREPS : Soccer Roundup : Ochs Paces Brea-Olinda’s Victory

Junior Jaysn Ochs led Brea-Olinda High School to a 6-0 victory over Kennedy in a nonleague boys’ soccer match Tuesday at Kennedy.
Ochs, a forward who played only in the first half, scored the first 3 goals and assisted on the next 2 for Brea-Olinda (4-3-1). His brother J.R. Ochs, a senior center halfback, assisted on Jasyn’s first 2 goals. Goalie Jeff Bettencourt recorded 7 saves for his fourth shutout of the season.
Mission Viejo 2, Newport Harbor 0--Doug Larsen and Jeff Jergemeyer scored for host Mission Viejo (7-0). Goalie Preston Cubel made 5 saves to preserve the shutout for the Diablos.
In nonleague girls soccer:
Sunny Hills 4, Laguna Hills 0--Missy Porter, Tammy Hart, Angela Mackintosh and Kim Harris each scored for Sunny Hills (3-2-2) at Laguna Hills. Erica Gugler had 3 saves in recording her fourth shutout of the season.
Kim Cogar had 9 saves for Laguna Hills.
