UC Irvine Women Lose in Basketball

Paula Mascari scored 19 points to lead the University of San Diego to a 69-64 victory over UC Irvine in a nonconference women’s basketball game Tuesday at San Diego.
Cathy Perkins scored 13 points and Candida Echeverria 10 for San Diego (2-5), which led, 40-28, at halftime.
Natashi Parks scored 19 points for Irvine (3-3).
