Police on Tuesday were seeking a man who hit a bartender over the head with a empty beer bottle, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the bar and left in the bartender’s car.
The robbery occurred at Kim Lan’s Place when the bar was closing about 1:21 a.m. Monday, Fountain Valley Police Sgt. Larry Griswold said.
No one else was in the bar in the 18900 block of Bushard Street when the robbery took place, Griswold said.
The robber left in the bartender’s 1984 brown Nissan Maxima, with California license plate number 1 KRV 947. The robber was described as a 30-year-old white man, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds, with dark brown hair and a mustache. His first name may be Tony, Griswold said.
The unidentified victim was treated at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center for a quarter-inch cut to the back of her head, Griswold said.
