The Dallas Cowboys, who have the No. 1 pick in the 1989 National Football League draft, will take advantage of UCLA’s visit to Dallas to play Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl Jan. 2 to scout quarterback Troy Aikman.
The Bruins arrive for practice next week, and Coach Tom Landry said he will personally scout Aikman.
The Green Bay Packers plan to draft Tony Mandarich, a 6-foot 6-inch, 315-pound offensive tackle from Michigan State, with the No. 2 pick.
