Explosion on Egyptian Train Kills 8, Injures 28

CAIRO — A gas cylinder exploded on a passenger train and started a fire Monday, killing eight people and injuring 28, police said.
The blast occurred in the cafeteria section of the express train from Cairo to the Mediterranean port of Alexandria, according to Egyptian police sources.
A preliminary investigation found that boiling water overflowed, extinguishing the flame on a stove. When a cafeteria attendant tried to relight it, the gas cylinder exploded. The attendant was arrested, the police said.
