In the Arroyo Grande tournament:
Fountain Valley 69, Righetti 48--Mike Merli scored 24 points to lead Fountain Valley in a championship semifinal game at Arroyo Grande High School. Merli made 5 of 5 field goals and scored 10 points as the Barons (7-0) led, 16-12, at the end of the first quarter. Fountain Valley plays Arroyo Grande in the championship game tonight at 8 p.m.
San Luis Obispo 72, Anaheim 57--Tim Kybrinski scored 23 points to lead San Luis Obispo in a consolation game at Arroyo Grande High School. Anaheim (1-4) led, 39-37, at halftime, but was outscored, 22-8, in the third quarter.
Kevin Tucker scored 16 points for San Luis Obispo. Jude Barbito scored 15 points and Dan Castro 14 for Anaheim.
In the San Dieguito tournament:
San Clemente 49, San Dieguito 45--Jason Dunahee scored 15 points and Eddie Morgan 12 for San Clemente (3-3). Mike Bell made 7 of 8 free throws in the fourth quarter for San Clemente, which made 14 of 16 from the foul line in the final quarter.
In nonleague play:
Fullerton 69, La Serna 61--Pete Bach scored 23 points Rene Arias added 16 points and 5 assists for for host Fullerton (3-3).
Valencia 68, Sonora 58--Mark Miller, a senior forward, scored a game-high 30 points to lead visiting Valencia. Paul Diamond added 13 points and Rudy Lopez 9 for Valencia, which outscored Sonora, 26-13, in the fourth quarter. Brian Holt led Sonora with 22 points.
Villa Park 78, Bonita 53--Chris Johnson scored 29 and Chris Kirby 18 for Villa Park (6-3).
