Greg Bistline of Redondo Beach has been hired as associate athletic director at Cal State Dominguez Hills.
Bistline, 34, replaces Dan Guerrero, who became athletic director last June. Bistline has been assistant executive director of the Titan Athletic Foundation, a fund-raising arm of Cal State Fullerton.
He has worked as an academic counselor at the University of Texas, an assistant athletic director at Loyola College in Maryland, interim assistant director in charge of fund raising at St. Francis Medication Center in Lynwood and as a development assistant in charge of funding for the Loyola Marymount baseball program.
Bistline’s primary responsibility will be to raise funds for the Dominguez Hills athletic program.
Guerrero credited Bistline’s “diverse talents” as a major factor in his hiring. At Fullerton, Bistline was a key participant in the school’s fund raising.
