Construction is scheduled to begin in February on two sound walls along the westbound Artesia (91) Freeway in Artesia. One wall, 14 feet high and 1,040 feet long, will be built between Gridley Road and Pioneer Boulevard. The other will be constructed between Pioneer and Norwalk boulevards and will be about 10 to 12 feet high and 1,800 feet long. Together the walls will cover the entire span of Artesia frontage on the north side of the freeway.
Completion of the $850,000 project is expected by late summer.
