ROSYTH, Scotland — Prince Andrew came home today to his wife and baby, Princess Beatrice, after a six-month tour of duty on a Royal Navy destroyer that rescued a boatload of Vietnamese refugees, his commanding officer said.
Andrew’s ship, the Edinburgh, rescued 15 adults and four children, including a 3-week-old baby, from a tiny craft floating 250 miles off the Vietnamese coast in early September, Capt. Alastair Ross said at a news conference. “It was a very emotional moment,” Ross said after the ship arrived in its home port on Scotland’s west coast.
