The Times is to be commended for recent articles and editorials concerning the “jailhouse snitch” fiasco.
It is clear that “only a truly independent prosecutor or a commission” should undertake this investigation. After all, isn’t our current district attorney the same person who authorized the use of a known, perjurer-jailhouse informant, George Freeman, in the McMartin preschool molestation trial?
And to compound such utterly egregious behavior, granted him immunity for past acts of perjury? Outrageous!
