American West Airlines said it has placed orders with Boeing Co. for 15 Boeing 737-300 aircraft and 10 Boeing 757 aircraft. The total package, including planes and spare parts, is valued near $800 million, the airline said. America West also has placed options for 25 additional Boeing aircraft, including 10 B737-300s and 15 757s. Delivery of the planes will begin in 1992, although delivery dates for the optioned aircraft have not been set.
