USC’s basketball team (5-2) will play Seattle University (1-7) tonight at 7:30 at the Sports Arena in the Trojans’ last game before final examinations.
“We’re not a team that’s hung up on being 5-2,” USC Coach George Raveling said. “As I told the kids, ‘That’s the side of the mountain, not the top, and the top is where we’re trying to get to.’ ”
After tonight, USC will not have a game until its Pacific 10 opener against Cal on Dec. 23 at the Sports Arena.
“I think this is a good time for us to have a break because we’ve played a lot of games in a short period of time, and it’s vital that they get some time off to devote to academics,” Raveling said.
