Christian Heritage Loses to Cal State Bernardino

Mark Warren scored 24 points to lead Cal State San Bernardino to an 88-66 victory over Christian Heritage in a nonleague basketball game at San Bernardino Monday night.

Rundy Foster paced Christian Heritage with 14 points. William Cunningham added 11 for the Hawks. Christian Heritage (7-2) was 0 for 14 in 3-pointers. San Bernardino led, 46-28, at the half.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

Camille Armijo scored 8 points in overtime to lead Point Loma Nazarene to a 77-67 victory over Northwest Nazarene in a nonleague game at Nampa, Ida.

Armijo scored only 4 points in the first half, but finished with 28 points. Shannon Andersonn added 18 points and Ann Duffy had 13 points and 16 rebounds for Point Loma, which outscored its host, 15-5, after regulation play.

Northwest Nazarene (2-7) sent the game into overtime with a last-second shot to tie the score, 62-62. The Crusaders held a 10-point lead at halftime. Point Loma (7-2) plays at Eastern Oregon tonight.

GOLF

Elizabeth Bowman, 17, a senior at Bonita Vista High School, has decided to attend UCLA on an athletic scholarship and will sign a letter of intent in April. Bowman won the 1987 California state junior girls’ championship in Monterey and was the runner-up in 1988. She was a semifinalist in the U.S. Golf Assn. junior girls’ championships in 1987 and 1988.

Earlier this year, Bowman was presented the Smith-Corona junior golf all-American academic award. She hopes to study journalism at UCLA.
