Poisoning Trees in Palos Verdes
I once had a spectacular view of Hollywood, the ocean, and west to Santa Monica. Now I look at pines, eucalyptus, and walls of Italian cypress that spread densely and soar 30 feet to over 100 feet above neighbors’ rooftops. Many of these insensitive neighbors enjoy the view I’ve lost.
There are innumerable varieties of beautiful trees and shrubs that mature to limited densities and heights. Every property owner should consider the surroundings and do some research before selecting a living thing that will enhance and not offend, encroach, or obstruct the rights of his or her neighbors.
I’ll bet none of the tall pines in Palos Verdes were blocking their owners’ windows.
