Boone Doesn’t Fit the Port Profile

Although it is very disappointing to say this, Bob Boone made the right decision by accepting his Kansas City offer. Bob does not fit the Angel profile obviously designed by Mike Port.

Bob approaches baseball from a professional standpoint, not a political one. He has endured enough of the collusion and regressive contracts, which are just two of Port’s methods of making players feel worthless and in need of any contract they can get.

Bob wins national Boy Scout awards and team inspiration recognition; real cornball stuff. But I’ve heard of a team up the freeway that won a World Series with that kind of leadership.
