Police arrested three men Thursday accused of trying to sell $100,000 worth of construction equipment stolen from the Las Vegas area.
Officer Richard McMillen said the suspects, Charles Nocolosi, 19, of Harleyville, Pa.; Mark J. Alvarez, 24, and Curtis Barnes, 21, both of Downey, were arrested on suspicion of possession and sale of stolen property.
He said police were alerted after the men tried to sell the equipment to several equipment rental yards in Buena Park for about half its value.
Police followed the men back to their motel room and recovered the stolen equipment, McMillen said.
