Community College Women’s Roundup : Swanson, Totosz Lead Golden West in Basketball

Stephaine Swanson scored 20 points and Lori Totosz 16 to lead Golden West College to a 114-45 victory over Victor Valley in a women’s nonconference basketball game at Cal State Fullerton.
Claudette Jackson and Micky Hamilton scored 14 each, Stacee Johnson 13 and Donna Gondringer 12 for Golden West (7-3).
In other nonconference women’s basketball play:
Grossmont 65, Orange Coast 61--Grossmont (4-3) opened a 17-1 lead and OCC wasn’t able to recover. Patti Leuta scored 17 points, Kim Ellerman 16 and Melayne Green 10 for OCC (3-7).
In the Pasadena tournament:
Cypress 64, Glendale 60--Vicky Silva scored 24 points and Becky Wayland had 23 points, 18 rebounds and 10 steals for Cypress (6-3) in a first-round game.
