Canadian pianist Janina Fialkowska will replace Bella Davidovich at Pacific Symphony programs Dec. 14-15 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center. Fialkowska will play Chopin’s Concerto No. 1. The programs, to be guest conducted by Geoffrey Simon, also will include Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra. The orchestra released Davidovich from her contract so that she could play in the Soviet Union at the invitation of the Soviet government.
