High School Basketball
Hart 68, Saugus 65--Frank Butterfield scored 6 of his team-high 20 points in the fourth quarter and Brett Wilson added 18 points to lead the Indians to their first win.
With the score tied, 51-51, after 3 quarters, Hart (1-3) scored 6 consecutive points as Butterfield, Wilson and Casey Burrill made consecutive layups.
Sean Legaux led Saugus (1-3) with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
L.A. Baptist 48, St. Genevieve 45 (2 OTs)--Dave Garcia’s driving layup and subsequent free throw with 11 seconds remaining gave the Knights the victory.
Garcia’s 16-foot jump shot beat the buzzer to send the game into the first overtime.
Burroughs 84, Glendale 60--Forward Dan Murphy scored 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Burroughs.
Burroughs broke the game open in the second half by outscoring Glendale, 48-25.
GIRLS
Hart 67, Canyon 29--Sara Wilson scored a game-high 30 points to lead Hart in a nonleague game. Hart took an early 23-2 lead.
Jennifer Haig grabbed 18 rebounds for Canyon.
Simi Valley 67, Agoura 59--Forward Shannon Solway scored 29 points, had 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the Pioneers.
Lisa Little led the Chargers with 26 points.
Alemany 57, Kennedy 51 (OT)--Kennedy guard Falicia Stanley scored on a 10-foot bank shot to tie the score in regulation, but Alemany outscored Kennedy, 8-2, in overtime.
