Prep Soccer Roundup : Santa Ana Boys Shut Out Defending 4-A Champion Royal, 6-0
Eddie Buenrostro scored two goals, one of them on a penalty kick, as Santa Ana High School defeated defending Southern Section 4-A champion Royal, 6-0, in a nonleague boys’ soccer match Tuesday at Royal.
Abel Ventura, Marco Silva, Horacio Avendano and Francisco Ventura also scored for Santa Ana (3-0-1). Goalie Gus Plasencia had 5 saves for Santa Ana.

Huntington Beach 1, Servite 0--Prasith Pravong scored for Huntington Beach at home. Goalie Kevin Miller had 7 saves for the Oilers (1-1).
Mater Dei 4, Estancia 0--Brian Oram scored twice to lead Mater Dei (1-1) at Estancia. David Courtemarche and Marty Williams also scored for Mater Dei. Mike Ammann had 4 saves for Mater Dei.
Brea-Olinda 1, Orange 0--Jason Ochs scored 16 minutes into the second half for host Brea (3-0).
In the Irvine boys’ soccer tournament:
San Clemente 3, Foothill 1--Stewart Bradshaw, Max Wilson and John Handal each scored for host San Clemente.
In the Irvine girls’ soccer tournament:
Los Alamitos 3, Woodbridge 0--Erin Ryan, Jenny Reyes and Jaycee Leitner scored for Los Alamitos in the championship quarterfinal round.
Dana Hills 6, Sunny Hills 0--Megan Fosberg and Gina Pitale each scored two goals to lead host Dana Hills in a consolation quarterfinal match. Helen Crowe and Janae Deffenbaugh also scored for Dana Hills (2-0-1).
Mission Viejo 2, Edison 0--Jill Florey and Maggie Doherty scored for host Mission Viejo (2-0-1). Edison is 1-2.
Esperanza 1, Newport Harbor 0--Jennifer Gulden scored in the second half for host Esperanza. Goalie Carla Huffman had 17 saves for Newport Harbor (1-1).
Orange 3, Orange Lutheran 1--Angela Darrah scored twice in the second half for host Orange (1-0). Debbie Ford scored in the first half for Orange.
Pacifica 0, Marina 0--Cristian Rossman had nine saves for host Marina (0-0-1) and Rikki Drake had eight saves for Pacifica.
Connelly 2, Anaheim 2--April Garcia’s goal in the second half tied the score at 2 for host Anaheim (1-0-1). Jenny Koebli scored Anaheim’s other goal.
