Local News in Brief : Fire at N. Hollywood Balloon Firm Doused
More than 100 firefighters from 22 engine companies needed an hour Tuesday night to put out a raging fire at a balloon company in North Hollywood, Los Angeles fire officials said.
The greater-alarm fire broke out about 9:40 p.m. at the Max Balloon Co., 11950 Vose St., said Jim Wells, a Fire Department spokesman.
The cause of the blaze had not been determined. There were no reports of injuries, Wells said. A damage estimate was not immediately available.
