Prep Roundup : Woodbridge Gets Past Edison to Reach Final

Leslie Rathbun scored 19 points to lead Woodbridge High School to a 65-56 victory over Edison in a championship semifinal game of the Irvine girls’ basketball tournament Monday at Irvine.
Kim Dean added 10 for Woodbridge (3-0), which plays Brea-Olinda in the final tonight at 8:15. Kristen Tanade scored 23 for Edison (2-1).
In other games of the Irvine girls’ basketball tournament:
Brea-Olinda 52, University 37--Tammy Blackburn scored 16 points and Aimee McDaniel 14 and Jody Anton 12 for Brea-Olinda (3-0). Brea led, 34-32, before outscoring University (2-1), 18-5, in the fourth quarter. McDaniel scored 10 to lead Brea in the final quarter.
Capistrano Valley 49, Savanna 34--Holly Anderson had 21 points and 24 rebounds to lead the Cougars (2-1) at Woodbridge High School. Alisa Farr had 11 points, including 3 3-point field goals, for Capistrano Valley.
In the Irvine girls’ soccer tournament:
Westminster 1, Dana Hills 1 (Westminster wins on penalty kicks, 3-2)--Molly Sullivan scored for Dana Hills and Kim Sentman scored for Westminster, both in the second half.
