Raymond Buckey’s Bail Reduced

Key McMartin molestation case defendant Raymond Buckey, who has been behind bars for nearly five years, moved a step closer to freedom today when a Superior Court judge cut his bail in half, to $1.5 million.
Judge William Pounders also reduced bail for Buckey’s mother, Peggy McMartin Buckey, who is free, to $295,000. Defense attorney Daniel Davis said that the reduced bail for Raymond Buckey is still beyond reach but that he will attempt to raise $3 million in property in lieu of $1.5 million to satisfy bail requirements.
