B-52s Grounded After Crash

OMAHA — The Strategic Air Command grounded all B-52 bombers today after one of the aircraft crashed at K. I. Sawyer Air Force Base near Marquette, Mich.
Maj. Suzanne Randle, public affairs officer for SAC headquarters at Offutt Air Force Base here, said the planes were ordered to stand down as a precaution. The grounding affects about 260 aircraft. Randle said she did not know how long the planes would be grounded. (Crash story, Page 2.)
