A man apparently beat a woman to death with his bare hands during an argument several hours after they checked into a downtown hotel room near Skid Row, Los Angeles police said Monday.
Security guards found the body of the unidentified woman, believed to be in her mid-20s, on the 12th floor of the Frontier Hotel at 8:15 p.m. Sunday after hotel guests complained about a loud argument in the room, Detective John Dunkin said.
The woman and her companion checked into the hotel Sunday afternoon under false names, Dunkin said.
The man was being sought.
