Busey’s Condition Improves

Actor Gary Busey, an Academy Award nominee for his role in 1978 in “The Buddy Holly Story,” is listed in improved condition since surgery after a motorcycle accident Sunday, and doctors said today that they believe he has not suffered any brain damage.
“If his condition continues to improve in the next day or two as it has since the surgery, I think the ultimate outlook may be quite good,” said a spokesman for doctors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. (Crash story on Page 1, Part 2.)
