A seismograph that records earth tremors in the Coachella Valley and a pair of full-grown Gila monsters in the live animal exhibit “Desert Life” are two of the new additions visitors will find during the current season at the Palm Springs Desert Museum.
During the museum’s “Free Day” Wednesday, visitors may view these and other exhibits such as the light-cued, talking dioramas of the Coachella Valley and the night and day of the desert, permanent exhibits of Native American artifacts and the environment of Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley.
The museum also has scheduled several special programs for its 51st full season. Call (619) 325-7186.
