“Ninos Con SIDA” (“Children With AIDS”), a special news series aired by the all-Spanish Telemundo network, has won a “Premio Ondas,” or Spain’s equivalent of an Emmy. Judges deemed “Ninos,” which aired this year on KVEA Channel 52 in Los Angeles and other Telemundo stations, “Best Special Series on a News Program.” The network plans to dub the series reported by Maria Elvira Salazar, co-anchor of Telemundo’s evening news, into Spain’s non-Castillian dialects and languages.
