Wells Fargo Checks

I read your story on how Wells Fargo Bank thanked its employees by giving them all $500 checks (“Wells Fargo Finds 9 Million Ways to Thank Its Employees,” Nov. 18). I might add that it came at the expense of the many workers who have been fired after having their banks taken over by Wells Fargo. Two of these banks were Barclay’s and Crocker National.

My son was laid off by Wells Fargo after it took over Barclay’s. He is still looking for a job. He tells of another fired worker, 57 years old, who is still looking for a job and very depressed. Can you imagine looking for a job at 57?
