Randall A. Terry, founder of the “Operation Rescue” movement to block entrances to abortion clinics, predicts more than 500,000 arrests in the movement in the next year.
In a story in the Christian Herald, a nondenominational monthly published in Chappaqua, N.Y., he said that the movement wants to increase social tension and strain about the issue to the point that abortion is again outlawed.
About 9,000 people have been arrested in the movement in the last six months, about 1,000 of them in Atlanta.
