What’s Old Is New

I would like to commend Michele and Tom Grimm for their article, “What’s New at Historic Old Town in San Diego” (Oct. 30), but I would like to clarify a mistake. The rebuilt 1867 Seeley Stables does not house its own collection of Western memorabilia. The Seeley Stables house the Roscoe E. Hazard Western Museum, implemented in 1974. In addition, the collection includes many native American artifacts.
The Seeley Stables and museum are reason enough to make a trip to Old Town, as they display a rich part of the history of the Old West, as well as of San Diego.
