Smoking Curbs on Police Officers

I shall certainly mind my p’s and q’s should I ever find myself in--or passing through--El Segundo, Hermosa Beach or Manhattan Beach.
For I should hate to find myself (Times, Oct. 30: “Police Recruits Get Some Bad News--Smokers Need Not Apply”) entrusted to the mercies of a police officer so gutless as to allow his employer to dictate his off-duty activities.
