Conspicuous by its absence in the coverage of the UCLA-Washington State debacle was:
--The fact that UCLA probably established a school record for biggest fall-from-ahead loss in its history by blowing a 21-point lead.
--The Bruins earned the Samuel Morse award for best telegraphing of a blitz, resulting in an 80-yard touchdown pass that helped establish that fall-from-ahead record.
